It just so happened that all of the following occurred on August 23rd of last week:
1 - Sam started his first day of pre-school
2 - Lucy and Jake started their first day at elementary school
3 - We are in the middle of re-financing our home and the mortgage adviser needed several documents asap
4 - My dad had a scheduled oral surgery--I told him I could pick him up and drive him home
5 - My mom needed a ride to the airport
6 - I had a doctor's appointment that I had to keep because it takes 3 months to get in to this doctor
7 - Lucy started her first day of gymnastics
8 - My dad needed 3 prescriptions filled
9 - My dad needed to be checked on throughout the day (he lives alone)
10 - My tire pressure light came on necessitating a trip to the tire shop (ANOTHER nail needing to be patched)
11 - I needed to fill up my car with gas
12 - The gas pump I used wasn't working and I had to drive to another gas station
13 - On my way to my dad's house (again), I realized I forgot the prescriptions and his driver's license and I had to drive all the way back home to get them
14 - I had to drive to Provo for the third time that day to get my dad's car
It was the WORST. DAY. EVER!!!!!
I have never been so exhausted.
Any one of those items above, even 2 or 3 of them, would have been totally manageable on their own, but all in one day???
It was a nightmare!
I barely had time to snap a few photos in the morning before the madness began.
(Jake absolutely, positively would NOT let me take his picture--same with Josh. Oh well.....)
This was one excited boy!
Oh my goodness! She is adorable!
Note to self:
Never, ever plan ANYTHING on the first day of school!

The problem really is the others in your life ie. Dad and Mom shouldn't plan things on your first day of school. So to add to the stress. You are a wonderful daughter helping so many of us in the family!
