Honestly, getting ready for this party is more work than Christmas Eve! Not that I would change a thing because it's always a blast. A cute pic of Lucy and Sadie. Sadie is the best sport about Lucy following her around like a shadow and giving her a hug every 10 seconds.

Lucy got Barbie makeup from Sadie. She applies and re-applies several times a day and even convinced me to wear some Barbie makeup to church the next day.

School Christmas Program

Lucy's first grade class sang THE FUNNIEST version of The Twelve Days of Christmas that I've ever heard! Jeff and I laughed through the entire thing.

JakersIt's a tradition for the 4th grade to sing "Where are you Christmas?" I know it sounds silly, but I teared up a little. I was sad that Josh wasn't in the Elementary school program this year and I'm sad that my kids are growing up way too fast.

I had to get a picture of my cute niece, Kate. She is in the top row with the black and gray striped shirt. It's fun to have my brother and his wife and kids live right down the street from us.

Christmas Around the House

I got this idea from my SIL, Kimber. I want my kids to remember what the house looked like at Christmas time. I remember my mom going all-out each Christmas and decorating each room in the house in some way. I have great memories of this growing up. Here is our living room tree.

My favorite, the Nativity that Jeff's mom gave me for my first Christmas in the family. It has somehow survived 10+ moves completely intact. We lost the baby Jesus for a few years and I was so sad about it. Then, one year it just appeared back in the storage box. A Christmas miracle? I think so! :) :) :)
I have a collection of Nutcrackers for every year that I was in the Nutcracker. They are getting old and beat up but I can't bear to throw them out.

I thought Josh didn't care about having decorations in his room but a couple days ago he said, "Mom, how come Lucy gets a tree in her room? I want some decorations in my room." So, I found another string of lights and wrapped them around his window.

He made some decorations of his own.
I finally have a tree in my room! I've always wanted a Christmas tree in my room. I love falling asleep to the twinkling lights.

Christmas Break 2010

Poor Josh actually doesn't start his Christmas break until the 24th! Here is the only picture I have of him the week before Christmas and he is "doing homework" by attending the BYU Museum of Art for his history class.

While Josh is in school the rest of the kids are getting ready to play in the 12" of snow that fell on Monday night.

And yes, my kid hangs around the house in his underwear......all the time. It just makes potty breaks so much easier for me and he quite prefers it. Don't worry, we put pants on when we leave the house :)
