Droubay Family Reunion

On July 28 Lucy and I went to the Droubay Family Reunion in Tooele. We started at the cemetary and then had lunch with all of the relatives at the chapel in Erda. I was glad Lucy was with me. Someday it will be great to explain to her what an amazing line of women she is descended from, including: Her great, great-grandmother, Annie Droubay.

Her great, great, great, great-grandmother, Josephine Appollinaire Droubay, who joined the church in France and moved to the United States with her husband, Pierre.

And of course, Oma, my grandmother. She is the best. Opa is pretty cool too.

Lucy by the grave of John Rowberry, whose daughter married Pierre Droubay's son. He was a busy man. You have to enlarge it to see all of the things he accomplished in his lifetime.

Lucy turns 3

Other Recent Happenings

In April, we took a short trip to NY with our best friends, Seth and Ashley Hobby. We saw the sights, ate, and shopped. Although we didn't buy anything at this store.

At Times Square
This is how the boys fell asleep one night--not surprising given that they talk and mess around every night when they are supposed to be going to sleep.

Our Hawaiian Vacation

We all went to Hawaii in May. It was quite an adventure. We had a 2 hour flight to L.A., a 5 hour flight to Hawaii and a 4 HOUR LAYOVER!!! We thought it would be a nightmare but, actually our kids were SO good. Only one minor incident when Lucy vomited all over the airport terminal 1 hour before we were supposed to get on the plane to the big Island from L.A. Too much warm sprite, I guess.

We had such a great time at the different beaches which were beautiful. We went snorkeling and saw giant sea turtles (among many other things) that would swim right up to your face. One of the funniest moments of the entire trip was when Jeff was standing on the shore and in his eagerness to run out and see a sea turtle, misjudged the waves and did a huge bellyflop right on the sand. He never turned back, but kept swimming right through the 4-inch deep water. I am so so sad to say that we don't that on video.

Sun Valley 2007

From July 18-22 we went to Sun Valley for the Utah State Bar Convention. We did everything from Ice skating to bowling to paddle boating. Unfortunately, Jeff misplaced our camara for 2 days and we don't have pictures of these activities. Luckily, someone turned in our camara on the last day and we were able to take a few pics.

The chlorine boys swam twice/day.
