Never Underestimate the Power of Pillows

Once again, Target got the best of me.
I went shopping on Saturday night for Girly Sue's birthday (I'll post that later).
I saw some cute, bright yellow pillows that I fell in love with and I HAD to buy them.

That prompted a trip to Tai Pan for more pillows...

...and accessories...

...which turned my family room from this...

...and this...

...and this...

 ...to THIS!!!!!

I needed a good project, too.  I've been in such a state of anxiety lately.
The panic attacks are killing me.
I'm hoping it's just still residual from my miscarriage?
I don't know....but buying those yellow pillows got me off the couch for the first time in a particularly bad 3-day string of panic attacks and motivated me to get out of the house, do some shopping, re-decorate a little bit, and get back to semi-normal living.
Blah, blah, blah....all I know is hormones can go to hell!
There, I said it.

On a related note, I'm really trying to take charge and overcome this anxiety crap (without medication if at all possible--that is a last resort).  I'm eating better (more whole grains, lean proteins, fruits and vegetables), trying deep-breathing/meditation exercises, I've all but given up diet coke (still have one occasionally) and, the biggest shocker of all,
I'm exercising!
Anyone who knows me, knows I HATE any aerobic activity.  I've been running/walking/doing aerobics and I must say, it helps the VERY most.
I've kinda become addicted to the endorphins.

So, who'd-a-thought, pillows and exercise could do so much?  :)
Whatever works, right?

Love it! I am loving yellow lately, and it brightens up your whole room.

Glad you are liking exercising. I have been trying to do something physical everyday. Some days are easier than others (like today), but it does make me feel so much better, and helps me cope with hating my body, job, and lots of other things I complain about all day! :) I just wish I didn't like food so much...it would make life so much easier!

It looks soooo good. A pop of color is amazing. I love little Georgia in all the pictures too.

I love it! The yellow is so happy and makes the whole room. Sorry you're feeling so blue. Hopefully the better weather and a few more trip the Tai Pan will help.

I go running 3-4 mornings a week and do yoga a couple days, too. I am convinced that it helps me avoid anxiety and/or depression. There is also nothing better than a good project to keep anxiety away.

Tonight when I came over to check on kids I saw the new pillows. It makes the room sooooooo cute! And the few new accessories look so good. I love this new look. My favorite so far! And.....nothing better than exercise to make a person feel better. It is my salvation.

Nothing like a little retail therapy! LOVE it Amy! Everything you bought is just darling! And yellow is such a happy color. So so fun. I'm doing a little re-decorating too. A definite way to cheer you up. And yes - exercise is addicting! Although if I looked like you without it, I'd probably do without it! :)
