Interior Design

I love, love, love interior design.  If I had enough money I would re-do one room at a time in my house then I would start over and re-do them all again.  It is so therapeutic for me.

I was able to help my neighbor execute her vision for some rooms in her house.  She had the vision and the ideas, I just helped give her confidence and affirmation on some decisions.  So I can't take all the credit.  Still, it was so much fun for me, and I loved arranging and rearranging furniture and accessories, hanging pictures, etc.

Here is her dining room before:

And after.
Holy cow!  Aren't the moldings just beautiful?

Here is her family room before:

This chair was her inspiration for the paint color.

And after.
I felt like I was on that HGTV show, where the designers walk through the client's house to find furniture and accessories that will work in the re-do room.
Her cute 4-year-old said, "Hey, why is she taking my flowers from my room?"
We used most of the old furniture (the two purple accent chairs were new) and just worked with a few new pillows, accessories and things found in other areas of the house.

So pretty!

Amy you are AMAZING! Is there anything you can't do? You would die if you saw my house. I have mostly white walls with just a few pictures hanging here and there. :( sad face

Hi Amy-just found your blog and had fun catching up on your family. Looks like all is well and your kids are darling!! I had no idea all those years ago (it seems like it should be about 5 instead of 10) when we were sharing walls/floors and ceilings, that you had so much wisdom to impart. HA! We are in the middle of redoing our kitchen and I could have used your tips and advice:). Glad you guys are well!!

It is always amazing what the right paint color can do, and trim and molding makes the world of difference. I wish I had $ to trim my whole house out!

You are a miracle worker!!! I need to steal your pictures because mine don't do justice to the colors!!! (that's what I get for using a camera phone rather than a real camera.). Thank you again!!!!
