Jeff took the day off from work (after all, it was his birthday too), and we all went to the zoo. Here are Sam and Jeff on the train.
Josh and Jake on the train. We asked Josh if he wanted to be checked out of school and he said "only if you check Jake out too". They are best friends.
Sammy, wanting to be a big boy, too, walking around the zoo.
Over Mother's Day weekend we took another trip to Thanksgiving Point. We never get sick of going there.
One of the only traits Jake inherited from his mother is that he literally cannot function if he gets too hungry. The last half hour of the trip Jake started to complain he was hungry. We were too dumb to pack any food and we happened to have no cash for the vending machines. This is what happened at the very end. We were in the greenhouse and Jake flopped on the floor and refused to get up. He was crying and crawling around. People were staring (and probably thinking "I would NEVER let my kid do that"), but I am soooooo over that. I just laughed and took pictures of the spectacle. Jeff had to carry him out and as soon as we fed him he was fine. The end.
It is so much fun having Lucy take dance at the studio where I teach ballet. I can't wait until she is old enough to take my ballet class. We had our recital last night and it was a success. Lucy was in two dances. Here she is in her maid costume.
And here she is in her Indian (I know, it should be Native American) costume getting ready to go on stage.
At the dress rehearsal on stage.
I love my cute little dancer!

It looks like you've been busy! My question is, where is a picture of you in front of that gorilla thing?
Love the Jake picture on the ground. Thanks for stopping over last night.
OH that Sammers is getting so big! It does not look like a baby at all anymore!! And Josh! I can't believe he is so grown up! The pictures of all 4 of your kids at the zoo is so cute.
That was the cutest post. Josh and Jake are so old (until Jake throws a tantrum.he he) I feel like doing stuff like that, too, if I get too hungry. And Lucy is so beautiful! I love that Samsters wants to be like the big boys and walk all around.
Ha Ha Carson does the same thing if he is hungry and we just laugh too. Now I always make sure I have something to east in my purse to hold him off.
Lucy was soooo cute (even though I only got to see her in the dress rehersal, due to the chaos well, you know) I love her little legs.
So fun! We need to get out to the zoo. I especially loved Lucy in her costumes. Adorable!
So fun! I had my big conference last week so Ryan had to do graduation (preschool), and Annie's dance recital prep all alone. I arrived in time to see her perform, thank goodness. Ahh, she's still learning. . . I don't think she loves it quite like I was hoping she would.
I'm glad Lucy loves it. She looks so cute in her costume. Looks like you are having fun--hope the boys had a great birthday. And I hope Lucy does this week too! (Saw it on Oma's board--I wish I was on top of these kind of things!)
Such cute pictures. So fun to see these beautiful kids grow up. I especially love that they are so close.
