We finally took Samster to the doctor this week. His fussiness was getting unbearable and I was about to lose my mind. The only way I could get him to eat was to get him asleep. It was a lengthy process that involved pacing around the floor until he was calm enough to put in the car seat. Then I would load him (and Lucy) up in the car (leaving the boys alone), drive around until he fell asleep, get him out and feed him and then he would sleep for only a few minutes before waking up, and the whole process would start again. I knew I should have taken him in sooner because we found out he has acid reflux disease that can be treated with some medication (Prevacid). He also has a food sensitivity to chocolate. We know this because as soon as I stopped eating my usual 10-15 Dove chocolates per day, his skin rash cleared up immediately. Anyway, to make a long story short, Sam is doing sooooo much better. Hopefully, he will grow out of it in a few months and, in the meantime, the medicine will help him feel better. Poor kid.
On another note, take a look at the pj's he is wearing. Yes, they are size 12 months! My not- quite -3 -month -old is wearing 12 month clothing. He weighed 16 pounds, 7 ounces at the doctor. Here are some really cute pictures of him in his new "Bumbo" chair.

Aliza had acid reflux when she was a baby, too. She took Prevacid until she was a year, but has not had any problems since then. Thank goodness you found out, not only for Sam but for your own sanity. He is so cute, I can't wait to see him again.

okay, first off, I love the hair! I can't wait to get mine done. Sam is looking so stinkin cute is his big boy chair. Jack does not look near that comfortable in his. some of my favorite pics of jack are those awkward ones, so I'm loving the double chin pictures of Sam.
I laughed out loud at the not so cute pictures of Sam. What a doll! I love him so much! I am so glad he is feeling better and the hair is even cuter in person.
I love all of the pictures of Sam. I also think your new hair cute looks great. Those bumbo chairs are great especially for Sam and his acid reflux.

Oh...I'm so sorry for Sam AND you Amy! That newborn stage is brutal! Things will probably get better every day now. He is such a cutie! I can totally see Jeff in him. Your hair looks DARLING! You look really cute...especially for having a newborn! Hang in there...still think you want 5 kids? Probably not the right time to ask!

that chair you have cute little sam sitting in is so cool and he is so adorable. also, your hair looks good but that's no surprise. you hair always looked good when we were growing up. i am jealous.

I am so happy that Sam is a happier boy. That is so frustrating when you don't know what is wrong. I know I would have gone completely insane (literally) with that sleeping/eating ritual. Poor guy and poor you. I really love your hair.
