Oh boy!
I spoke too soon in that last post.
Things went VERY downhill after that.
I'm trying so hard to take it easy and rest so I can speed along my recovery.
This beloved, comfy, black couch of mine is where I spend a lot of my time.
Jeff brought me home a two pound box of chocolates and then he left out of town for 9 days to Australia!!!
This is a random photo but I think it's funny that my kids may not even know that a bathroom drawer exists.
Lots of reading
And this is where my week started to really fall apart.
(Keep in mind Melbourne and Sydney are 18 hours ahead of us and I can rarely contact Jeff.)
I ate a bunch of these green olives before bed on Wednesday.
I woke up at 12:30 and started an 8 hour barf-fest.
Do you know how incredibly, horrendously disgusting it is to upchuck green olives???
If you've read this post, you know how much I hate throwing up.
It's literally a phobia.
I still had to take Josh to school at 6:45 a.m. so I just brought along the barf bowl in the car.
I spent the rest of the morning and early afternoon on the couch (my favorite black one).
My neighbor texted me to let me know my driveway was flooding.
I walked outside and sure enough, water spouting and flooding everywhere.
I called the city and broke down a little bit on the phone.
"My yard is flooding, there's water spraying everywhere, I've been sick all night, my husband is out of town, and I don't know what to do!"

The day after puking the soreness from my surgery hurt all over again.
The day after that, Lucy woke up with a fever, nausea, and sore throat.
I got her straight into after-hours (it was Saturday) for a strep test.
It was negative.
I KNEW it was strep so we went home, took a nap, and headed BACK to the doctor for another strep test.
It was positive.
I alternated Tylenol and Motrin every three hours to keep the fever and pain down because Lucy also had a dance competition that same night.
She couldn't miss or it would mess up the whole dance for the other girls.
She was darling and did a great job but was crying afterwards from the stress of the whole day.
I was absolutely exhausted by the end of the day.
I still had to run to Target to fill the prescription.
I got there just as the pharmacy closed.
Wah!
I stopped at In-n-Out for dinner.
No freaking way I'm cooking.
I fed the kids and then ran to Smith's to fill the prescription.
I was counting down the days and hours until Jeff got home, then he texted me to let me know that his flight got cancelled.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
He booked another one, but instead of flying to L.A. BUSINESS CLASS (like he did on the way over),
he had to fly to Dallas in COACH.
That is a 17 1/2 hour flight.
He finally made it home and brought me all of this!
He had to find another HUGE duffel bag to fit it all AND carry it on his 24-hour travel home.
True love I tell you.
He knows me so well.
Forget the souvenirs, flowers, jewelry.
Bring on the treats!!!
I woke up this morning feeling optimistic.
I'm feeling a little better (I swear, it's the Tim Tams and the Wine Gums), Jeff is home, sun is shining...
Here's to a better week!
