Lucy's Room Makeover

I need to state, for the record, that this was the most difficult post I've ever done!
Not because the amount of work that went into cleaning and organizing Goo's room.  Noooo!
It was trying to load and then find these d@&! pictures on our new computer.
There were some serious tears.  Nothing, NOTHING frustrates me more than learning new computer stuff.  I just don't get it.  I don't get the files and the folders and the drives......

Anyway, here are the pictures.  I didn't remember to take a picture until I was almost done cleaning out and putting things into bags.  This picture doesn't do Lucy's hoarding saving abilities justice.

New bedding, new furniture arrangement, a few new accessories, and voila!
(I am so so glad Lulu still loves pink and purple.  I know she will outgrow that in a few years.  In the meantime, I'm squeezing out every bit of pink and purple that I can.)

I bought a rug and bean bag and made a reading corner for her.

I organized her hutch and put all her American Girl accessories in the little, pink boxes from Target.

 My next project....
 *Sigh*
It never ends.

So cute! I love Lucy's bedroom. Can you PLEASE come to my house and work your magic? PLEASE? I'll make you pickled pig's feet and noodle casserole. Tempted?

Oh I love her room. I need to come over and see it in person.

What a nice mama you are to create a beautiful space for Lucy. It looks lovely! I especially love the black and white of her on the wall. Also, I want to put my dolly in that adorable pink doll crib.
And thanks for being real and showing a picture of the next closet. It gives me a little hope and makes me like your blog all the more.

BEAUTIFUL!!! How creative you are. I would like to have something like that for Bethany in a few years. You truly have a gift for decorating. Way to go!

I love it! This is EXACTLY how I feel. You know we did the kids rooms over a few months ago (pictures and blog forthcoming), and I was faced with the same dilemma with Annie's space. In the end, I (like you) decided to lean more towards "still a little girl" than "ready to be a tween" and I'm SO glad. It is SO hard to watch the girls grow. Boys too, but I only have the one girl and I'm afraid that if I "let her grow up" too soon I'll never get her back. sniff.

The room looks great and if that is ALL your daughter hoards (saves), you're in GREAT shape. This little girl in my house can't bear to throw a way a picture she's drawn. I think I've told you this before, but we've had to google images of hoarding to show her what can happen if she can't bring herself to part with non-essentials. Anyway, loved the post. GREAT JOB!

Very sweet room. Love the flowers around the bed. I really should get off this computer and go tackle something before the kids are home!
