Here's my Hello Kitty girl--backpack, shirt and socks.
Jake refused to wear any new clothes on the first day--he says he doesn't like when other kids notice anything new about him (haircut, clothes, shoes, etc.). He did use his new backpack, however.
As for me, I get a little sad every year, but it is so nice to get back into a schedule and routine. I enthusiastically scrubbed my house clean this morning knowing that it would stay that way for most of the day.

Your little Lucy is so cute! That's funny that your boy didn't want to wear anything new. Bryson was the same way, except for the shoes. It must be a boy thing.
I love your kids. They are so unique and hilarious. Go Jake! I'm kind of the same way. I hate hate hated new white shoes. I would step on them a few times so that they didn't look new.
Hahaha! Jake and Coop are so the same character. Coop refused and I mean refused to wear anything new. He also wants me to take back anything new I got for him. He also loves deodorant like Jake. They are definately cousins. Lucy looks adorable as usual.
Yea for an update. You inspire me to update. Our girls were the same. Meg was so excited she was sparkling. I dropped her off at the door with tears in my eyes. All she did was flip around smiling really big and blew me a kiss. Love Jake and Cooper not wanting new stuff.
Cute cute kids on their first day! I can't believe how big your boys are! They'll always be around 3 and 1 to me. :) I so know how you feel. It's hard seeing them get bigger, but at the same time so NICE to have them out of the house for awhile!
